• Alternate Character Interpretation: Maybe the Elders didn't punish Leo for healing Piper because it wasn't a supernatural instance, but more so for him waiting until she was legally dead to try and go behind their backs, which is all sorts of irresponsible as their designated whitelighter.
• Ass Pull: It's said that Leo can't heal Piper from her illness because it wasn't caused by supernatural circumstances. "Love Hurts" had seen him heal Daisy when she cut her hand on a piece of glass and, as Prue points out, healing a Charmed One who will surely help more innocents down the line and got sick because of an accident is hardly abusing magic for personal gain.
• Harsher in Hindsight: This will not be the last time Prue has to watch her sister die in the hospital.
• Narm: The evil ninja doll that goes around stabbing patients got plenty of chuckles out of Holly Marie Combs when she rewatched this episode for her House of Halliwell podcast.
• Special Effects Failure: The personal gain consequence of the spell is Piper getting Super-Speed. They accomplish this by speeding the film up, which doesn't work, because the strobe lights are still on and they move lightning fast as well while the lights above Prue and Phoebe in the other shot don't.
