YMMV / Charmed S1E1 Something Wicca This Way Comes

• Angst? What Angst?: The Charmed Ones, and especially Piper, don't seem at all shaken by the fact that they had to basically kill Piper's boyfriend (she even makes a joke the next day about how witches "usually get the best guys"). The next episode fixes this by showing that Piper is worried they might be evil because of their magic.
• Harsher in Hindsight: When the power goes out, Prue says that the house is safe, and Piper quips that in horror movies, the first one to say that dies. Prue is indeed the first of the sisters to be Killed Off for Real.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Piper claims she was trying to ask the spirit board if Prue would have sex with anyone this year. The very next episode sees Prue having just hooked up with Andy.
  • Piper makes a joke about Phoebe riding around the neighbourhood on a broomstick and conical hat. In "All Halliwell's Eve", Phoebe does that for real; with an implication that her doing so in the past ended up creating that very stereotype about witches.
