• Epileptic Trees: The identities of Daniel and Marty which is the subject of Wild Mass Guessing for decades. While many fans rejected Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson's interpretation that the two are the Thinking Machines, Ominus, and Erasmus, in their Dune sequels, most fans believed that Daniel and Marty are representations of Frank Herbert and his wife, Beverly, who are observing the characters given that Frank wrote the book in dedication to Beverly's passing. Meanwhile, others also theorized that Daniel and Marty were advanced Face Dancers who were possibly the Unknown Enemy that the Honored Matres were afraid of.
