YMMV / Changed: Berserk

Go To

  • Adorkable: Even though Adaptational Jerkass is in effect for the main characters in this Beat 'em Up, Puro still comes off as this when trying awkwardly to befriend Colin; even convincing the other monsters not to attack him.
  • Awesome Bosses: The Boss Battle with the positively gargantuan Squid Dog, who towers over his large flooded room is an epic fight with the accompanying kickass BGM before the final stretch. You have to deal with waves of enemies, falling debris, and his fist and tentacle attacks, which get progressively faster when he's down to half health.
  • Awesome Music: The game has a rock solid Copyright-free soundtrack when beating up foes, featuring Akuma Kira's Atmosphere 2, Gigakoops Tunnel of Hate, David Fesliyan's Boss Battle Rock, Nexsard's chiptune remix of Not Dead Yet!, Get Up n' Fight!, and Weeppiko's Hellish Revenge.
  • Funny Moments: Colin's not some helpless lost little lamb, and behaves like a complete snarky Troll towards the attacking monsters.
    • Being an asshat towards Puro makes him yell "[Colin's] pissing me off!";
    • The comical outcome of the female snow leopard chase, where Colin sneakily trips her up as she face plants into the vent floor. The man shushes her, before kissing her head. With fresh fury she recovers, but falls down a shaft, hitting the bottom with an angry cat yowl. Colin throws a latex fish down the pit after her.
    • The gigantic Squid Dog does an Oh, Crap! take realizing smashing the place down to attack Colin wasn't so clever as the pipework collapses down onto him, knocking him out.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The fighting parody still manages to spiritually channel some of the canon game's intense frantic moments, the low res sprites have a creepiness factor to them when they evilly grab Colin in attempting to assimilate him. The female snow leopard chase, where you must Run or Die is just as panickacy as in Changed, if not moreso, because of her Glowing Eyes of Doom filled with malicious intent to catch you in the vents. And if you try to outwit her? She'll just jump up and grab you.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The fan game of Changed which has many different creatures chasing you, only contains a handful of monster types to combat, and then there's Dr. K, who only shows face in one of the five possible endings.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: You cannot fight Puro if you refuse to be assimilated by him in the Deceived Ending. Even if you can't stop Colin from being absorbed there was potential to have a True Final Boss as a Battle in the Center of the Mind inside the morally ambiguous latex wolf as both fight for control of this new powerful body.
