• Memetic Mutation: While the series always had something of an inside joke status, said status really took off when the accusations against Matthew come forth.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: After the summer of 2020, the series has been overshadowed by the emergence of evidence that its creator had a history of drawing and animating suggestive artwork of his underage characters, in addition to frequently acting perverted on Discord even after it made people uncomfortable. This led a number of people to cut ties with him (including people who were voice-acting in the movie and forthcoming reboot, which spawned a Twitter hashtag called "#CartoonManiaIsOverParty", to show their hate on Matthew), as well as Matthew himself closing several of his social media accounts and removing ratings and comments from his YouTube channel.
