  • Walter Lawson, previously an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain, blows up an entire metropolitan city (killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people) in the Empyre tie-in.
  • In-universe Strange makes clear, Carol's stripping Ove of his magical abilities is this, being considered a Fate Worse than Death by the magical community. While he was an Asshole Victim, Strange's own series make clear how serious this would be.
• Squick: Carol burning all of the flesh off of her own arms, reducing them to bone with some burnt soft tissue still clinging to it, in Issue #40.
