• Hilarious in Hindsight: Some fanons managed to predict things that would later come true in the canon Candy Crush Saga.
  • Some fanons circa 2015-2016 featured candy orders for jelly fish, candy bombs, and mystery candies before they were introduced in the original game in 2017-2018.
  • Similarly, certain fanons featured several types of special candy cannons (ones that dispensed striped candies, wrapped candies, colour bombs, and jelly fish). Striped and wrapped cannons were canonically introduced in 2017, while colour bomb and jelly fish cannons were introduced in 2019.
  • One element featured in fanon games is the Color Filter, a special type of candy cannon that only allows certain colours to be spawned in specific columns. Around mid-2021, specific coloured candy cannons (that replicated the effect of Color Filters) were introduced in the canon Candy Crush Saga.
  • Another fanon blocker is the Frosting Bomb. It's similar to a Candy Bomb, except it spawns ice cubes when it detonates instead of ending the level. In mid-2022, the Countdown Crystal was temporarily added to the original game to replace candy bombs, and it functions almost the same way as frosting bombs (albeit spawning crystals instead of ice cubes, though the two blockers are similar).
