• Tear Jerker: Everything that happened to Jacob and his family. It all started when his wife died right after childbirth, and escalates as demonic possession turns his son increasingly violent. When it's clear the camp is having a bad effect on the boy, Isaac tries to get them out of there, only for the two to wake up back at camp each time. Jacob finally has no choice but to keep Isaac locked in the basement. Despite all this, he still loved Isaac... and yet he's eventually forced to kill him himself to stop Isaac's murderous rage once the demon fully controls him. In the end, Jacob killed himself, unable to bear what he'd done. In the end, he lost a loved one, couldn't escape even when he was doing the right thing to stop the corruption, had to watch his child slowly become a monster, witnessed his most violent crime, and then had to kill Isaac himself. The poor man never had a chance at a happy ending, no one in the family did.
