  • Alternative Character Interpretation: In "Pedro Across The Street," who is telling the truth? Is it Pedro, the man Alexis seemingly cheated on Patrick with and whom she is also trying to throw under the bus, who is attempting to throw the mistreated husband a bone? Or is it Alexis, who speaks of a drunken encounter with Pedro and him using her job as a bank teller to enact a heist?
  • Awesome Music: A whole lot performed by Bobby Krlic, of Midsommar fame.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: The first episode of the series, "The End," turns out to be this come the finale, as it's an account of reality itself collapsing. Luckily, the actual ending to the show isn't that bleak.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Floyd is a very shitty fiancee to Darlene, to the point where she shows up to her dad's funeral under the influence. However, he really does love her and displays proper remorse after accidentally shooting her.
  • Spiritual Successor: Is seen as this to The War of the Worlds (1938), for its exploration of unnatural phenomena while using a predominantly audial format.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: What little visuals the viewers are treated to prove to be both beautiful and terrifying.
  • The Woobie: Hell, it'd be easier to list who isn't in this series. Almost all of the characters are people going about their daily lives when they're affected by a Class Z apocalyptic event that almost erases all of reality.
