  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: "Convoy" was a #1 hit in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and reached #2 in the UK. What made it really odd is that CB radio only legally existed in America at the time. Partly due to the success of the song, CB units started getting imported to other countries and an underground CB movement developed in them, leading to governments officially legalizing CB (Australia did so in 1977, while the UK did it in 1981).
  • Squick: "Audubon" mentions that "It was so doggone hot I had to wet the bed in the summer just to keep cool". Not as gross as some things, but still, bleah.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: "Convoy" is a blatant product of the 1970s, when trucking songs were very popular and trucking and CB radio were at their peak.
