- Broken Base: For a while there was 2 iterations of the band:
- Chad's version, featuring the 2008 line-up with Deron switched out for Daniel Davies. By the time it came to recording, Daniel left and Chad started singing himself, with no replacement 2nd guitarist.
- Deron's version, which is him and 3 others who've never been a member before. This was actually Deron's other band "Foreign Objects". For a while they went by "CKY + Foreign Objects" or "Mecha CKY" before eventually settling on "96 Bitter Beings" when Deron realised the confusion wasn't helping either band.
- Epic Riff: "96 Quite Bitter Beings," "Flesh Into Gear," "Sink Into the Underground," and "Escape from Hellview."
- Harsher in Hindsight: "Afterworld" was mostly sung by Chad, which would be fine except a few months after it was released, Deron was out of the band.
- Ho Yay: The "Gay Fags" skit.
- Signature Song: "96 Quite Bitter Beings", due to being on Jackass and a Tony Hawk game.
