- She Really Can Act: Joanna Chang is Kristin Kreuk's meatiest role yet and she proves she truly is a talented actress. Her portrayal of her character's fear of being a terrible mother in episode 7 of season 3 is absolutely gripping.
- The Woobie: The young girls who become sick due to illegal dumping by the mill. Special mention goes to Molly Ross and Taylor Matheson who have their dreams considerably derailed by their illness, and poor Taylor has to live with the knowledge that her own father, who ran the mill, caused her illness.
