• Cry for the Devil: The look on Glory's face when she describes what it's like to be insane—she's clearly speaking from experience.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • When Dawn and Buffy enter The Magic Box early in the episode, Xander is reading an X-Men comic book. The issue, X-Men #109, is the last in that series before the death of Colossus - an event which later became pivotal to Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men.
  • Willow and Tara's fight has the former especially hurt and saying "I'm sorry I didn't establish my lesbo street cred" before they got together. This seems eerily prophetic of the years of fandom debates over Willow being gay or bisexual.
• Les Yay: After Willow claims that she doesn't know if she could sleep without Tara, Anya tells Willow that she can sleep with her.
  That sounded a lot less lesbian in my head.
• Moral Event Horizon: Glory truly crosses it when she mind rapes Tara into insanity.
