YMMV / Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1E10 "Nightmares"

• Genius Bonus: Willow's nightmare has her in a production of Madame Butterfly. We hear the beginning of the love duet, the translation has great foreshadowing for Willow's character arc:
  Child, from whose eyes the witchery is shining, now you are all my own!
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Giles' worst fear is seeing Buffy die. She dies in both the first and fifth season finales.
  • Buffy's nightmare about her father cutting ties with her isn't far off from how he gradually became a completely absentee parent, up to and including not being able to be reached when Joyce died.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Giles' line about their fears being a musical comedy is even funnier after "Once More With Feeling".
• Narm: When Billy wakes up, He says, "I had the strangest dream, and you were there, and you were there". It was meant to be a funny Shout-Out (see Main Page of this Recap page) but the delivery is so bland that it comes off as pretty cringe worthy.
