• Alternative Character Interpretation: There's a theory that Alice was actually trying to smuggle drugs to begin with, therefore her still-noble plea to serve both Darlene and her time wouldn't have been quite as much as a Heroic Sacrifice but guilt rightfully catching up.
• Signature Scene: Alice's tearful plea to the King of Thailand to free Darlene and let her serve both of their sentences. Whatever one thinks of the movie it's hard not to be moved.
