• Ass Pull: Harrison reads in Jimmy's diary that Slappy is capable of cheating death by possessing bodies right before Jillian can be possessed for the Mandatory Twist Ending. It's also puzzling considering that Slappy didn't do that in Night of the Living Dummy II making it come off as New Powers as the Plot Demands.
• Accidental Innuendo: At one point Jillian declares that they will do an "all squirting act".
• Narm: In the TV adaptation, Mary-Ellen can be hard to take seriously due to her Fish Eyes.
• Squick: If it wasn't bad enough that Slappy wants to make the protagonists his "slaves", this time around he considers the protagonist his bride. It's even worse in the TV adaptation, as there he wants to make her younger sister Katie his bride instead.
