• Catharsis Factor: Because of what Eladio sadistically did to Gus many years ago by ordering his partner/lover in Max killed and forcing him to look at his bleeding partner's dead eyes by the pool on top of being an arrogant, mean-spirited thuggish bully of a cartel head. You can't helped but feel satisfaction when Eladio is slowly dying from poison and tries to lunge at Gus in vain only to fall into the same pool where Max was killed by. Later on Gus taunts Hector (Who pulled the trigger on Max) on Eladio's death as extra topping.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Midway through this episode, Walt Jr mentions that he would prefer to remember his father as a sickly, yet still loving father compared to his bizarre behavior over the last year that alienated both him and his mother. Fast-forward to "Ozymandias", and Walt Jr find the truth about what his father truly is, and angrily rejects him from his life forever. In other words, he'll never see his father as a sickly, but loving person ever again.
