• Covered Up: Their version of "I Want Candy" is much better-known than The Strangeloves' original.
• Cult Classic: Easily one of the best New Wave/Post-Punk bands out there, and hardly anyone's ever heard of them.
• Values Dissonance: Given all the paranoia related to sex & children today, it's unlikely that Annabella would be posing sexily & singing dirty songs if the band was made today.
  • There's also the band's avid support of taping music, which wouldn't fly in today's Digital Piracy Is Evil music industry.
