YMMV / Boris and the Dark Survival

Go To

  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Borkis, an Evil Counterpart of Boris with Glowing Eyes of Doom. Absolutely nothing in the game even hints at his existence and there's zero explanation as to where he came from or who he is.
  • Evil Is Cool:
    • Bendy retains his threatening demeanor from his last game.
    • Alice Angel is just as delightfully deranged as she was in the original game and even has some menacing lines to underscore the threat she poses to Boris.
  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • Bendy has a tendency to show up near where supplies are, and his line of sight can often be frustratingly large.
    • As cool as Sammy's teleportation through walls might be, the fact that he can't run still sours him for a lot of players, especially since the teleportation only works in specific areas. If the stage boss finds you in an area with no miracle stations and no holes in the wall to walk through, you're basically screwed since Sammy's power walk is way too slow to get away from most of the bosses.
  • That One Level: Basically any generation seed that gives you very few miracle stations and/or bacon soup machines.
  • The Woobie: Boris himself, who has The Ink Demon, The Projectionist, Borkis, an Evil Counterpart of himself, and to top it all off, Twisted Alice on his tail. Knowing his fate in the original game doesn't make it any better.
