• Harsher in Hindsight: Like Gina, Rami Malek (who plays Flip) was abused and allegedly assaulted by director Bryan Singer during filming of Bohemian Rhapsody, reports of which surfaced between the time this episode debuted and the release of the film. There are rumors that Flip himself is based on Singer, who's history of sexual misconduct also surfaced around this time.
• Nightmare Fuel: The titular Showstopper as BoJack's continuing Sanity Slippage causes him to strangle Gina, in front of everybody on the set of Philbert, complete with a horrifying closeup of his eyes contorted into a scowl as Gina gasps for air. And the scariest part of it all is that the entire time, BoJack doesn't even know that he's doing it!
• Signature Scene: Bojack's dream of Gina singing "Don't Stop Dancing" became iconic to those starting the show late.
