- Unintentional Period Piece: When the episode first aired, marijuana was illegal for recreational use in New Jersey (the state the Belchers live in), which forms a major part of the plot when the kids end up working on a pot farm that is later raided by the DEA. Eight years after the episode first aired, New Jersey decriminalized marijuana entirely.
