• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: "Useless Potheads" has a scene with Dele watching a video of himself rapping and dancing. It comes completely out of nowhere, has no relevance to the plot and there is no reaction from the "studio audience", making it seem like something that was tacked on to fill time. On the other hand, this may be addressed in a future episode, since Abishola is an Education Mama who would likely be furious with Dele once she finds out about the video. which did happen in "The Canadians of Africa".
• Jerkass Woobie: Abishola's mother Ebunoluwa is a nasty Control Freak, but she's revealed to be desperately unhappy in her marriage to an unloving man, and a lot of her behavior is likely jealousy towards her sister and daughter's happy relationships.
