    The first game
  • Fan Nickname: Some Youtubers refer to the Banana Research Facility (4th tier left-sided banana farm) as a factory. This may confuse some players who think of the spike factory tower upon hearing this.
  • Game-Breaker: Generally patched bugs or glitches, these were features that could allow an easy victory and/or super late game:
    • Flash version:
      • A glitch with the 4/x village in the Flash version meant that selling and rebuying the village would refresh all nearby activated abilities, allowing for better ability-oriented late games.
      • Another glitch (this was quickly patched) made it possible to send pink bloons on round 1!
      • The "Assault vs. Defend Mode" glitch was a bug that pitted a player in Assault mode against a Defensive player. The Game-Breaker part is for the "Assault" player, who would be able to send as many bloons as they wanted, while the Defensive player couldn't do crap about it!
      • The "rapid-fire boat" glitch was also quickly patched. Exactly What It Says on the Tin, the Monkey Buccaneer would fire both darts and grapes as fast as a Super Monkey!
      • There was a command for Sandbox Mode, allowing for nigh-unlimited money, all towers available, and all bloonsends unlocked. This meant you could build a Temple AND send a ZOMG on round 1! However, This led to a possible Game-Breaking Bug in the "Sandbox-er"'s next match, where their tower loadout wouldn't display, rendering the game unwinnable unless they knew of tower hotkeys. Bloons, however, could be sent 2 rounds earlier (a feature that has since made its way into the Speed Battle game mode in the mobile and Steam versions of Battles, so part Ascended Glitch?).
    • Mobile and Steam versions:
      • The "Disconnect for Money" glitch, which relied around one player disconnecting from the game server, then reconnecting shortly afterward. During the 5- or 6-second pause before the game resumed, it was possible to sell a tower multiple times AND get the money each time! This could easily be mistaken for money hacking.
      • The BLOONCHIPPER! Not glitch-related, but this tower's fourth-tier upgrades could wreak absolute havoc on your opponents' ZOMG rushes. Super-Wide Funnel, which allows the chipper to damage MOAB-class bloons, could stall and pop the ZOMG and BFB layers, allowing other towers to clean up the MOA Bs and below. Then there's the Supa-Vac ability, which sucks up all bloons in range and stalls them for a matter of seconds; Battles even applies this to MOAB-Class bloons!
  • Good Bad Bugs:
    • The "Map Glitch" in the Mobile/Steam versions. These versions come with the ability to skip the randomly selected map; however, it was possible for both players to skip the map simultaneously and get different maps! This led to both players thinking that their opponent was hacking so as to place towers anywhere they wanted (on water, on the track, etc.). Because the various tracks are of all different lengths, this could lead to bloons appearing to leak when they aren't and vice-versa. In Random Trio mode, both players would get different sets of towers, when normally the loadout is the same 3 towers for both!
  • That One Achievement:
    • Unspoppable requires you to rack up 20 consecutive wins in any of the Quick Play modes. It takes a lot of skill and/or luck to not have your streak broken by sudden rushes and the occasional disconnect.
    • Getting Defensive requires you to win 100 total Quick Play battles in Defense mode. Thankfully, they don't all have to be in a row, but it can still take a while due to inability to end games quickly by rushing.
      • Similarly, Heavy Assault requires you to win 100 total Quick Play battles in Assault mode, but at least you can end games quickly if you know what you're doing.

    Bloons TD Battles 2
  • Awesome Music: "Let Them Eat Lead" is an epic hard rock track.
  • Game-Breaker:
    • When the game was first released, the Tack Shooter was extremely overpowered. It was intended that buying the "Even More Tacks" and "Blade Shooter" upgrades together would increase the Tack Shooter's pierce by 1, but due to a bug, the Blade Shooter upgrade wasn't needed to get the bonus. This would allow even a single Tack Shooter with two cheap upgrades to defend against huge Bloons rushes, and adding further upgrades and towers on top of that made for a nigh-impenetrable defense. Thankfully, Patch 1.04 fixed this error, bringing the Tack Shooter down to balanced.
    • The next broken towers were the Dartling Gun and Ninja Monkey. They both had a similar problem: the Dartling's Laser Shock and the Ninja's Sticky Bomb had a bug which allowed their effects to be stacked on the same bloon, increasing their damage far beyond what they're supposed to do.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: The track "Beyond the Bloondrome" sounds eerily similar to the theme music from After Burner.
