- Ensemble Dark Horse: For a character who only gets a single mention as an unused concept for a noncanonical story, Solomon Aran gets a fair amount of attention by the Metroid fandom and has become a Recurring Fanon Character. There have been quite a few Epileptic Trees as fans attempt to deduce how he could fit into the current canon, with one common theory being that he's Sylux's true identity.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Blood of the Chozo ended up predicting a few things that became true in later Metroid installments, including:
- Samus getting attacked by a powerful enemy and subsequently stuck in a hospital for a while would also happen to her in the beginnings of Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
- Players getting to control unique characters in Metroid media while Samus is incapacitated or otherwise absent can also describe Metroid Prime: Federation Force.
- Metroid: Samus Returns introduced an antagonistic faction of Chozo, who would later become major villains in Metroid Dread. The latter game also reveals that there are surviving reclusive benevolent Chozo, and that Kraid returns after his defeat in Super Metroid.
- Sarius Dallas is a clone of Samus Aran who was created by villains, before Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes featured villains (SA-X and Dark Samus, respectively) who copied Samus's DNA to become her Evil Doppelgänger, and Metroid Dread has Raven Beak announce his intention to create a clone army of Samus.
- The True Chozo are genetically-engineered hybrids of human, Chozo, and Metroid DNA. Samus Aran herself would become such a hybrid as of Metroid Fusion.
