• Critical Dissonance: While it has a Certified Fresh critic score of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, it has a more mixed rotten audience score of 50%.
• Crowning Moment of Funny: "Aw fuck, that was the turn! Fuck!".
• He Really Can Act:
  • Although John Cena may be more well known for his wrestling career, critics loved him in this movie for his excellent comedic skills, turning in a shamelessly hilarious performance.
  • On the other side of the spectrum, Ike Barinholtz is best known for his comedic roles, but he also manages some great drama in this film, particularly with his monologue on why he cheated on his wife.
• Just Here for Godzilla: For Gary Cole's nudity scene... specifically when he has his genitals out.
• Memetic Mutation: Gary Cole's dick out during the Home Nudist scene is this for one reason or another. Apparently, this also became an inside joke among his Veep colleagues, according to Timothy Simons and Matt Walsh.
• Squick: During the Home Nudist scene, Austin's mother unknowingly squeezes Hunter's balls very hard and we're treated to a brief camera shot of this.
• Tear Jerker: As mentioned above, Hunter talking about why he cheated on his wife, and his fear of losing his daughter. He goes on a long rant about said things, speaking about his wife's abuse, her infidelity, his ruined reputation and the way his friends abandoned him without even bothering to ask his side of the story. He reveals his only regret is that he feels like he lost Sam. Lisa and Mitchell ignore everything he said, which is meant to be played for laughs, but you're more likely to just feel bad for him.
• Woolseyism: The Latin American title of the film, "No Me Las Toquen" ("Don't You Touch My…", either "daughters" or "balls") does a passable job maintaining the original title's double entendre.
