  • Catharsis Factor:
    • Bakugo finally receiving a massive dose of karma for his hienous actions against Izuku. First, after arrogantly declare he would be the one to win the Sports Festival, not only he comes on fourth place, he also loses to Shinso, someone with a Mind Control Quirk. As a guy who believes that Might Makes Right, is absolutely humilliating. Then he receives the mother of all The Reason You Suck Speeches after assaulting Izuku. Afterwards, he finally receives punishment after only getting praise and overlook for his most unhinged behavior. Not only he is suspended for two weeks, he is not allowed to receive any internship offers and will have to attend therapy to correct his aggressive and prejudicial attitude.
    • Happens again after his defeat during the Final Exams arc, where his entire Might Makes Right causes him to fail on his fight against All Might.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • After their fight at the Hosu arc, Stain gives Izuku his signature red scarf as gift for beating him, something that Izuku decides to include in his Edge hero costume and as keepsake of the first person that believed on his dream. It becomes quite a bitter comparison to when Izuku received Gran Torino's bright yellow scarf by the end of the Paranormal Liberation War arc, considering the older hero almost died in his fight against Shigaraki before that.
    • Stain no longer seeing All Might as the paragon of hope and goodness he used to see. In the aftermath of the Villain Hunt arc, flashbacks from the Tartarus breakout reveal that Stain managed to obtain a valuable piece of information about All for One's plans (how long it would take for Shigaraki's body to be fully prepared to assimilate his Quirk) and the only person in the world that he trusts in the world to rely this information to is All Might.
    • All for One refers to the hero course students as Child Soldiers. Considering the Hero Commission's asinine decision to send a bunch of teenagers, most of them barely on their second year at school to face off against a superterrorist villain organization during the Paranormal Liberation War, he painfully has a point.
  • Heartwarming in Hindsight: The fact that Dabi, AKA Toya Todoroki, managed to grow out of his Irrational Hatred towards his entire family, who were just as victims of Endeavor's abuse as he was. and not only that, but the fact he still has a Big Brother Instinct towards Shoto upon finding out their father is still putting his younger brother through the same Training from Hell that both had to endure, while in canon, he is willing to use his quirk to the point it will destroy his body as long as it kills his father and brother.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Izuku's Affectionate Nickname to Shoto, "Peppermint Prince" is actually pretty funny when you renember that Shoto is represented as a prince in the third ending of the anime.
  • Squick: There is something particularly morbid about Overhaul's... interest on Izuku. The fact that after the Hosu he starts calling him "Little Bird" and refers to him as "pure creature" in a world filled with filth, really doesn't help ease out the parallels with grooming.
