• Fight Scene Failure: Vila somehow knocks out a guard by yanking his hand away from the Red Alert button.
• Fridge Brilliance: Travis uses his chair-gadget to paralyse Cally and stop her calling out. Presumably she then used her telepathic ability to guide Blake to her exact location.
• Narm: The tension of Blake and Cally's escape is undermined just a little by the fact that Travis suddenly sounds like he's about to burst into tears when he yells at the guards outside to shoot the two before they can beam out.
• Honor Before Reason:
  • Ironically the heroes being heroes causes them all manner of problems. Rather than swiftly executing the Federation personnel to ensure they didn't get in the way, they are moved to a unsecured room to be guarded by Cally alone, who is overpowered the second she is distracted. This both ensures Cally is captured by Travis and that Travis is able to question the personnel, from whom he realizes Blake was here for a specific purpose and not simply to blow up something random. Rendering his theft of the Cypher Machine pointless only days after getting it.
  • While Blake passes off his refusal to eliminate Travis as him not mattering enough to kill, the truth is that Travis would prove to be a deadly nemesis to Blake thanks to his understanding of how Blake thinks, damn near killing him on several occasions if not for sheer luck or stupidity of people around him. He very much was worth eliminating then and there and would have saved a lot of people a great deal of trouble if he had.
• Special Effects Failure
  • The Killer Robot had to be cut down to a few scenes because its arms kept flapping up and down as it moved, and the flamethrower that dropped out of its groin caused it to be dubbed "The Flasher".
  • Putting a TOP SECURITY sign and mock electronic panels on an ordinary chain wire gate does not make it look any more formidable.
