- Awesome Music: Now has its own page
- Disproportionate Retribution: In 1992, members of the Norwegian black metal scene began a wave of arson attacks on Christian churches. By 1996, there had been at least 50 attacks in Norway; in every case that was solved, those responsible were black metal fans.
- There has also been a lot of murder in the black metal scene. In 1992, Former Emperor drummer Faust killed a man. According to Eithun, while walking home from a pub through the Olympic park, a well-known gay cruising spot, Andreassen drunkenly approached him and solicited him for sex. Eithun agreed to go with him to the nearby woods and stabbed Andreassen 37 times. He kicked him in the head repeatedly as he lay on the ground.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: If you're into Black Comedy, the amusing thing is the Pagans and the Satanists hate each other and the misanthropes hate everyone. Then there are Christians there with bands like Horde, who hates Satanists and misanthropes and at times Pagans. Neo-Nazi bands hate Christians and misanthropes and there are Red And Anarchist bands who hate Neo-Nazis, while Swedish and Norwegian black metal fans hate each other. The Broken Base can be hilarious here.
- Memetic Mutation: "Trve kvlt". Explanation
- Nightmare Fuel: Has an ENTIRE page for a very good reason. In other words, it would make perfect sense to describe black metal as this in musical form.
