- Friendly Fandoms: Billy Bragg and Kirsty Mac Coll, who although less political, is often seen as his Distaff Counterpart. Their fandoms have overlapped enormously ever since 1985, when MacColl had a big hit with Bragg's song "A New England", still his biggest success as a songwriter. It helps that the artists in question were also friends and on-off collaborators.
