• Catharsis Factor: After four episodes of the sickening brutality, corruption, and violence of the English Empire, and the equally vile Rochester couple plotting against each other, we're treated to a baying mob of thousands of people at the Jubilee celebrations shouting Exterminate, determined to witness an execution. That is, until the humans' shouting becomes the same word in familiar, mechanical roar. The Daleks are back, and for perhaps the only time in the history of the franchise, the listener is rooting for them as they start to slaughter the English Empire.
• Complete Monster: Nigel Rochester, President of the English Empire, is one of the more disturbing villains in the Big Finish series, being a Dalek worshipping human in charge of a nightmarishly genocidal and xenophobic empire which attempts to emulate the Daleks in all the worst ways. He remains cheerfully upbeat and affable even when mutilating midgets to fit in his "toy Daleks" or beating his wife for speaking in contractions.
