YMMV / Big E. Langston

Go To

  • Awesome Music: His post-New Day theme "Feel the Power" is a motivational anthem that also has lyrics based on how his friendship with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston is still strong despite being separated.
  • Fashion-Victim Villain: At least initially. His singlet ran very high and tight in the groinal region and actually looked a bit like some sort of swimsuit.
  • He Really Can Act: E is known to be really good at acting, and he has some of the best lines and scenes in the Netflix interactive film Escape the Undertaker, particularly the one where he's bound to a chair and has a glass cube of tarantulas over his head.
  • Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Some in the IWC were a bit leery of him because he fits the profile (young, muscled beyond all reason) of the type of guy that gets pushed to the moon with no regard for his actual wrestling talent or lack thereof. But for what it's worth, he's gotten over much better than, say, Ryback. This largely went away once he found his niche and was shown to be more than a passable worker as well as one of the funniest guys on WWE programming.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: For lack of better words to describe the blunder made by WWE's "writers", his first televised Raw match against Jack Swagger was an excellent demonstration on why "heel vs heel" should not be booked causally. The crowd all but ate both of them raw, with nothing done getting viewers invested in the match.
