- Critical Dissonance: Critics didn't like it and even Chris Farley himself thought the movie was terrible, but it didn't stop the film from opening at number one on its opening weekend and it still maintains a cult following. Christian Bale, of all people, has said in interviews that the film is one of his all time favorites.
