• Hollywood Homely: Several of the various remakes of Yo soy Betty, la fea are known for using this trope, with Betty en NY being one of the more blatant. Betty is "ugly" because she has curly hair, wears large glasses, and wears sweaters. That's about as far as it goes. She looks perfectly normal, but her fashionista co-workers find her hideous.
