• Accidental Innuendo:
  • Applejack asking Ben "Wanna see what we do for fun?"
  • Ben asks Twilight if Fluttershy still does modelling, to which Twilight replies that she only does it in private when no one else is looking.
  • When asked how everyone felt when the Cutie Mark Crusaders told everyones' secrets, Lyra remarks that they felt "violated".
• Angst? What Angst?: Twilight mentions her parents' house being blown up at the end of the previous story, showing no sign of upset or any negative feeling toward what happened.
• Crack Pairing: Ben has way more chemistry with the adult members of the Apple Family, especially Big Macintosh than he ever did with Twilight. Some have really REALLY clung on to that idea.
• Designated Hero: Ben. While the citizens of Ponyville were indeed annoying, Ben's reaction is no better, involving him throwing a hissy fit and threatening to leave. What's worse is that the citizens feel bad about this and thrown him a party as an apology.
• Fridge Logic: If the Mane Six were in possession of an anti-magic collar, this raises the question as to why they did not use it against the Demon Pony or Boris in Curse of the Demon Pony. It is also unclear how they acquired it.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In the fic, the Cutie Mark Crusaders vote to allow Pipsqueak to join their group. The fic was written before season 4's Twilight Time, where Pipsqueak tells Twilight Sparkle he would like to become a Cutie Mark Crusader.
• Out-of-Character Moment: Fluttershy has one toward the end where she assists Rainbow and Rarity by hurling Ben into a Bag of Kidnapping.
• Wangst: Ben's threat to leave Ponyville gets little sympathy. The dramatic reading likened this to internet forum members who yell "I'm leaving", only for other forum members to beg them not to leave, leading to said forum members not leaving.
