YMMV / Ben 10: Race Against Time

• Awesome Music: The rock remix of the theme song. The movie isn't really considered memorable, but this music sure is.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Principal White gets a lot of love despite being a tertiary character who never appears outside of this movie. He's decently well-liked for turning out to be a Reasonable Authority Figure, both as an educator and as a member of the Plumbers. Being played by Robert Picardo helps.
• Memetic Mutation: Almost everyone points out how stiff Haley Ramm is in this movie.
• Narm Charm: Let's just say that if you try to take the movie seriously, you won't have a good time watching it. It makes the experience even better since it has some accomplished actors in it.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • What happened to the Almost Dead Guy Eon aged decades in a space of seconds.
  • Ben's face during his transformation into Grey Matter is pretty unsettling.
• Questionable Casting: Despite Grey Matter sounding smart in the animated series, in this film, he sounds villainous and crazy. Also, Max, despite being portrayed as overweight, Lee Majors portrayed him as noticeably leaner.
• Retroactive Recognition:
  • Graham Phillips went onto be Nick St. Claire in Riverdale.
  • Gwen went onto be Violet in Hulu's Light As A Feather.
• So Bad, It's Good: The TV show was formulaic enough, but as a live-action flick, it falls flat on its cliché ridden Fridge Logic face. However, it had some decent special effects.
• Special Effect Failure:
  • The use of CGI is rather dodgy at best. While Grey Matter and to lesser extent Diamondhead look fine, Heatblast not so much.
  • Not to mention Eon and his minions look like villains from Power Rangers. Bad villains from Power Rangers.
