- Moment of Awesome: Randall having a particularly nasty fight with Barson/Fangs in order to protect Boo in chapter 15.
- From the same chapter, the way Boo handles with the fact that she might never see Sulley and them again after Roz discovered her was very mature, especially for someone her age.
- Moments after the scene mentioned directly above, Hardscrabble, of all monsters, actually defends Boo and convinces Roz to let Sulley, Mike, Celia, and Randall continue visiting her.

- Moral Event Horizon: Barson crosses it when he betrays Boo and the rest of the gang and Waternoose crosses it when he almost kills Boo by forcing her into the scream machine.

- Chapter 4 has Randall snapping and calls Boo an annoying pest (however he didn't know that she was nearby), which leads to Boo running off in tears.
