Sensei: Ahh. The blood flows outward and back again. Each element to each element binding. Dis-weighting... Lubricating... Feel... Feel... Feel... Tiny offset crystal borrowing lubrication... Now I can "see". Deeper inside. Aha. The tumblers are mis-balanced. Just so much. Each molecule... adds... and adds, apply pressure, up, then down, and down again. Now. Umphhh. Ah. Slowly... Slowly...
Ass Pull: The only method by which Robin survived being blown up by his own master.
Crosses the Line Twice: The scene where Batman blows up Robin comes right the fuck out of nowhere and in such a comical fashion that it's impossible to take the slightest bit seriously, even before you found out Robin survived, somehow. Arguably it blows right past even purely funny and into being weirdlyamazing.
Faux Symbolism: Finally, Naked Bruce Wayne puts on a shirt. It's a Green Lantern shirt. There is no immediately evident meaning to this, unless it's supposed to be a Shout-Out to the Elseworld story Batman: In Darkest Knight (where Batman becomes a Green Lantern instead of Hal Jordan).
The second issue has Batman repeatedly shot as fake blood spills everywhere. Normally, this would be a serious scene... were it not for the ridiculous poses Batman is making as he's being shot. Most of the stances he's in make it look less like he's being shot and more like he's either dancing, or practicing being a Jojo's character.
Bruce Wayne and Robin's reactions to the revelation that Robin's parents were killed by the League of Assassins are both◊ pretty spectacular◊.
So Bad, It's Good: It's random, weird and oddly written, but it's also crazy and hilarious enough (intentionally or not) to be enjoyable.note And compared to otherinfamousBatman comics, it's a bit lighter on truly rancid morals (although not entirely free of them, see the bit about the trolls on the main page).
