• Hilarious in Hindsight: The story uses the concept of Thomas Wayne being Batman rather than Bruce 17 years before the concept was used in the Flashpoint event (where Bruce was killed in place of his parents, resulting in Thomas becoming Batman to avenge his son while Martha became the Joker as a result of being driven insane by the loss of her son) and 19 years before the same was done in Earth 2 (where Bruce still became Batman as he normally does, but it turned out Thomas survived the shooting and faked his death in a misguided effort to protect his son before eventually becoming the second Batman after his son died combating the forces of Apokolips).
