• Heartwarming Moments:
  • The fact that, despite being estranged, Irene is nonetheless entirely willing to get Frankie out of the hospital and back home.
  • Frankie and Irene finally reconciling after all their turmoil.
  • The Reveal that Irene lied about Frankie having abused her. Frankie endured the suffering and stain on his reputation for years due to his sympathy and love for her, and watching them clear the air is heartfelt.
  • Frankie dying in peace at the end is bittersweet, but it's clear the journey meant a lot.
• Funny Moments: The encounter with the young men in the diner, who order whole plates of bacon and one of whom acts uproariously, much to the comical disapproval of the elderly tribe members who give them irate glares.
• Tear Jerker:
  • The entire premise. Frankie is dying, and there's irrevocably no way out. Irene gets him out of the hospital for one last travel to his family.
  • The fact that Frankie's reputation was destroyed and he endured pain after his Domestic Abuse accusation from Irene, which turns out to be a lie, tugs at the heartstrings.
  • The ending, where Frankie dies in the car on the way home, is extremely bittersweet. While he passes in peace, it's still hard to watch Irene slowly realize that he's gone forever and didn't even get where he wanted to go.
