- Jerkass Woobie: Veronica crosses several lines (the biggest being outing Lulu to her homophobic parents and skipping out on Brook's prom), but she's deeply troubled and hurting.
- LGBT Fanbase: It's produced by Kinda TV which produces a lot of media with LGBT themes starring LGBT people.
- Ron the Death Eater: To hear some fans tell it, Alice initiating the breakup by text is worse than all Veronica's bad behavior combined. (While not ideal, it's not exactly a hanging offense.)
