• Badass Decay: This promo from his 1995 Heel–Face Turn is pretty much this trope in a nutshell.
• Harsher in Hindsight: While it was unquestionably one of the most truly awesome things he ever did, Bam Bam saving three children from a burning house and suffering second degree burns over 40% of his body in the act was darkly ironic considering his iconic flame-patterned ring gear and tattoos.
• Heartwarming Moments: Bigelow loved his fans. One story has him arrive early at a shopping mall for a signing at a store and sitting down in the food court for lunch. He gave so many free autographs to fans at the mall that the promoter for the event had to come and get him so that he could break even for the event.
• Never Live It Down: His time in American Combat Wrestling was called "The Rock'N Roll Era" due to his first appearance coinciding with an influx of cocaine into the area and one of the partners who owned the promotion being arrested on drug trafficking charges. Whether it was his fault or not, Bam Bam only lived his association to it with his death.
• WTH, Costuming Department?: The extra-flame-y ring gear from 1995 after his Heel–Face Turn. Seriously, the man looked like he'd been tarred and feathered.
