YMMV / BaianaSystem

  • Archive Panic: Not as much if you only listen to the studio albums, but count in their various singles, live performances, featuring in other musicians' work, remixes, plus the members solo careers and you have a serious case of this.
    • For extra fun, listen to the releases made by their record label, Máquina de Louco.
  • Awesome Music: Lucro, a song about real estate greed and the effects of pollution, matched with powerful dance breaks and guitars.
    • Alfazema, their colab with Nação Zumbi, a sweet, high energy love song.
    • Cabeça de Papel, which features sharp remarks about Brazilian politics.
    • Playsom. Just ask anyone following their Carnival trio around.
  • Epic Riff: The piano introduction in Sulamericano.
    • The guitar solo in Lucro.
  • Even Better Sequel: Duas Cidades to Baianasystem, that being the album that made them national stars.
  • Friendly Fandoms: With Nação Zumbi's fans (there's a huge overlap between fans of both bands), even before their song together.
    • With Gilberto Gil's fans also.
  • Growing the Beard: In Duas Cidades and later O Futuro Não Demora.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Lucro was already harsh in 2016, but resurfaced in early 2023 as the Boipeba Island, in Bahia, was threatened with the building of a luxury resort (with airport and golf camp included) in its area. The legal requirement to do it eventually got rejected by the government, however.
  • One-Scene Wonder: Margareth Menezes singing the post-chorus in Capim Guiné. Also Titica rapping the second verse.
    • The band themselves were this to Elza Soares in Libertação.
    • Nação Zumbi in Alfazema.
    • Dog Murras in A Mosca.
  • Signature Song: Playsom, for those who started listening to them in 2016 after they were featured in FIFA Soccer.
    • Lucro, in any context, but mostly in live performances.
    • Sulamericano, for those who started listening to them in 2019 after they were featured in the opening credits of Brazilian telenovela Um Lugar Ao Sol.
