• Alternate Character Interpretation: Every LOTR character has all their flaws exaggerated to comedic levels, and astonishingly, it works.
• Badass Decay: Aragorn when he loses his Ranger skills, but he gets better.
• Die for Our Ship: A controversial point in the series is the treatment of Arwen, who left Aragorn in a messy divorce, pinched everything he owned save his clothes, and sold the children's mortal remains to the British Museum (apparently they're a couple of cases down from the bog people).
