• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In-series, Elrond's fear of Outliving One's Offspring appears to have been for nought as of Dagor Arnediad, when he's the one who dies at Thanos' hands instead of his daughter Arwen.
  • T'Challa's death in Dagor Arnediad at the hands of Thanos is even sadder following the death of Chadwick Boseman. When Methteilien was updated following Boseman's death, the author's notes for that chapter acknowledged the loss (while also affirming that this wouldn't change their plans for the fic's final outcome), and the chapter itself features Aragorn and Shuri talking about Shuri's reluctance to assume the title of Black Panther herself, as it would feel to her like giving up on the idea that they can bring T'Challa back.
  • After everything he did, Ross finally got his just deserts in Dagor Arnediad at Morgoth's hands. However, this becomes harder to read, following the death of William Hurt.
  • Maria Rambeau is identified as a victim of the Snap along with her daughter Monica in Methteilien. WandaVision reveals that Maria instead died of cancer in the five-year time skip between Infinity War and Endgame, and her daughter only learned about this after Professor Hulk brought her back to life.
  • Wanda becoming President of Sokovia in The Witch, the Wizard and the Sorcerer becomes this as it was revealed on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Sokovia was annexed by neighboring countries and erased from the map.
• Nightmare Fuel: In Scarlet Witch and the Thirteen Dwarves, Ultron has used his new magical training and existing scientific expertise to create twisted amalgamations to aid in the Battle of Five Armies, with Word of God thus amending the fight to the Battle of Six Armies as Ultron’s creatures count as a separate force all on their own.
