  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:
    • There's a scene which shows Caesar having a parade where he sets a red-haired barbarian chief free, which has no relevance to the story. It's intended to be a pun about what Caesar historically did at that time, but it only works in French and even then it's a little random.
    • This comic is the only to be given a specific date in the beginning - March 17, 45 BC, the date of the referenced Battle of Munda.
  • Newer Than They Think: While some of the individual villagers had a habit of getting into fights in past stories, this was the first time in the series that we see the village as a whole getting into a fight at the drop of a hat, with one off-panel character even remarking that it'll be fun to fight each other for a change.
