- Hilarious in Hindsight: This Sega Saturn game has opening animation by TMS Entertainment, in which Sega Sammy Holdings would place TMS as a subsidiary of Sega Holdings in 2015.
- It's Short, So It Sucks!: There have been complaints aimed at the game saying that, while it's a very good game, it's not long enough.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: The game was specifically made as a showcase for the Sega Saturn's 2D capabilities, and it shows. It features elaborately detailed sprite animation, lots of scaling and sprite rotation effects, thousands of pastel colors on screen, amazing special effects, etc. etc. Even today, its considered one of the best looking side scrollers ever made.
