- Broken Base: The games featuring the undermentioned targets, once the latter became such. While they're still amusing to those that still dislike those franchises for whatever reasons, fans either find them funny in spite of their execution, or just offensive and tasteless. This is best illustrated in the "Operation: Powerpuff" games, where the objective is to brutally murder The Powerpuff Girls: they have a solid four (out of five) star rating on Newgrounds, but a half dislike ratio on video uploads to YouTube.
- Catharsis Factor: Its purpose is to allow players to vent out on unlikable celebrities and characters.
- Values Dissonance: Some of the franchises that used to be listed here, like Pokémon and The Powerpuff Girls, have since moved off the page into more appropriate categories (i.e. video games, pop culture). With their lasting popularity, it doesn't make sense for them to still be listed under the same category as people and characters that are mostly hated.
