"Night of the Tibble"
- Like You Would Really Do It: When Ms. Morgan informs Emily and D.W. that James will be absent from school, they and the viewers are led to believe this means he didn't make it through the Tibbles' sleepover alive. However, it's hard to believe the writers would actually have him die since that could make the real kids watching fear sleepovers.
- Tear Dryer: Ms. Morgan announces that James won't be at school that day and D.W. and Emily assume that means he didn't survive the Tibbles' sleepover. After school, they go to give his mother flowers to show her how much he meant to them. However, James turns out to be alive and takes the flowers the girls intended to give to his mother himself. Even if it was obvious James was going to be alive, it's still heartwarming to see the girls' relief that he is, especially D.W.'s given how she has been implied to feel about James.
- Tear Jerker: It can be rather upsetting to see James' panic attack triggered by his Imagine Spot of the Tibbles seating him on their "Flatter-fling" machine and presumably splatting him into the wall with it, especially since the poor kid is actually hyperventilating.
