YMMV / Art Attack

  • Fountain of Memes: Giovanni Muciaccia, the host of the Italian adaptation, became this thanks to his many Character Catchphrases such as "Fatto?" ("Done?"), "colla vinilica" (wood glue) and "forbici dalla punta arrotondata" (rounded-tip scissors).
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff:
    • The show itself (or its local co-productions) have found great success in Spanish countries.
    • Art Attack is also beloved in Italy, especially among late Millennials and early Gen Z-ers who grew up watching it, largely thanks to its memetic host Giovanni Muciaccia.
  • Sacred Cow: Rui Torres, the first host of the Latin American version, is so beloved on the Hispanic Internet for his charisma and optimism, not to mention that he became known as a generally nice person, to the point that no other host of the Latin American version has managed to be so loved like him. Even after his unfortunate death in 2008 (Pop-Culture Urban Legends often claim that he committed suicide, the cause of his death has never been publicly revealed), many people still remember him fondly after all these years.
  • Unfortunate Character Design: Infamously, the curly hair on The Head's forehead had some markings that resembled the letters "s-e-x", being cited as one of the many infamous examples of the "Disney Subliminal Messages" phenomenon from back in the late 00s.
