• Moral Event Horizon: If JJ hadn't been over the line already, he definitely crosses it here by fatally stabbing Zoe from behind and taunting both Mia and Connor about it. Even Connor shows no quarter to his adoptive brother, and tries to kill him for the crime.
• Shocking Moments: With zero foreshadowing, a bright light envelops the future Team Arrow... and transports them (and Oliver) directly to the present day Arrowcave, bringing Mia and William face to face with their father.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The episode would have had more emotional resonance if Nyssa al Ghul had taken the place of Athena (whom we only saw in one episode). As well as depriving the series of a chance to wrap up her character, there could also have been an epic Mêlée à Trois between three daughters of the Demon (Talia, Nyssa and Thea).
